ABOUT YOGA FACTORY
"Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind."
-The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Yoga is an ancient practice, a science of self realization, that has been passed down from teacher to student for thousands of years... There are many different ways to practice. At Yoga Factory we challenge ourselves to honor the teachings of past masters but also to keep those teachings relevant and engaging, bringing the ancient wisdom of the sages into our modern times.
Yoga Factory has been a part of the Pittsburgh community since 2008 and we've grown over the years into providing not just asana (posture) based classes, but meditation, yoga philosophy, body-work, teacher trainings, and much more.
We can't wait for you to meet our team of teachers and start your own journey of self-realization.
Meet the Team
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Our mission at Yoga Factory is to share our love for Yoga (and how it has changed our lives) with students from all walks of life. Anyone can benefit from a regular practice whether they are young, old, healthy, sick, happy, or distressed... Yoga helps us reconnect to our inner self and realize our full potential.
A Pittsburgh native, Zeb has been teaching yoga since 2007 and has travelled the world teaching and spreading yoga love everywhere he can go. He leads teacher trainings and workshops regularly.
Angelica initially found hot yoga while cross training for her dance career. Angelica served as manager for Bikram Yoga Baltimore and competed in several USA Yoga Championships. She became a Hot Yoga instructor in 2016 with Yoga Factory Teacher Training, has practiced 15+ years, and is also certified in Intermediate Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga.
"It has been more than a decade since a friend dragged me kicking and screaming to my first yoga class during a lunch break at work. I was one of those hard core athletes who thought stretching was for wimps. But after class I was really relaxed! It became a driving force in my life.
Now a teacher, I like to let students know there are no prerequisites. Come as you are, start where you are, and let the yoga work on you."
Nikie loves practicing and sharing yoga as often as possible and is grateful to Yoga Factory for offering the opportunity to explore different styles and methods of practice. Yoga is for everyone, all bodies, all minds; an active mediation that can allow one to find strength to go within and create space for change and acceptance.
The newest addition to the YF family, Donna just recently returned to her home-town of Pittsburgh! A long-time teacher and practitioner, she brings her knowledge and enthusiasm to the mat every time!
Teaching since 2014, Justine began doing yoga as a supplement to her dance training through high school and college. However, she didn't start taking her practice seriously until 2012 when a hot yoga studio opened up in her hometown near Buffalo, NY. She fell in love with the Hot Yoga method, and the way it made her feel physically and mentally challenged, yet restored at the same time.
Coming from athletics, Megan was instantly attracted to the intense challenge of the Traditional Hot series. Once graduating college and finding she was constantly setting her schedule around the next yoga class, she decided it was time to go to teacher training, graduating in Spring 2013.
Megan loves to spread her love and knowledge of yoga. Always learning, always improving!
